5 WEEKS TO A PASSION FOR A LIFETIME!

Join HYP Pilates instructor, Penelope Courtin, for this 5 week seminal series, designed to introduce the core-strengthening, bulk-free, flexible muscle building practice that is Pilates to the new student. Limited to 5 students, these introductory series will breakdown and provide detailed instruction on:
  • The essential principles of a complete Pilates practice.
  • Connecting breath to movement the Pilates way.
  • The foundational, essential Pilates mat and reformer exercises.
  • Sequencing and flowing with grace and strength through the Pilates repertoire.
  • Safe and effective Pilates alignment.
  • Connecting and powering movement from your core/powerhouse.
  • Modifying your practice for individual injuries and physical challenges
Through practice, questions and exploration, each class will build on the previous one, in order for the group to progressively develop a safe, sound and intelligent Pilates practice for a lifetime. All graduates of Introduction to Pilates will be eligible for a special discounted rate on our Pilates Equipment Drop-In and standing Pilates private and semi-private session packages, once the series is complete! Introduction to Pilates will meet weekly for 5 consecutive weeks, unless otherwsie indicated, and is limited to 5 students.
