LEVEL 1 WORKSHOP FLY HIGH, & TURN YOUR WORLD UPSIDE-DOWN: Fear of the unknown and a lack of instruction in alignment, are obstacles that stand in the way of trying these invigorating, challenging and beneficial poses. The time to learn is now! Jennifer will help you begin to experience the wonder that is 'gravity surfing', by breaking down each asana (pose), and providing the foundation of knowledge needed to begin your exploration! DURING THIS TWO HOUR WORKSHOP, you will be introduced to Bakasana (Crow), Parsva Bakasana (Side Crow), Titibasana (Firefly), Eka Pada Galavasana (Crow Variation), Eka Pada Koundiyasana II (Scissors), Sirsasana (Tri-pod and traditional Headstand), Adho Mukha Vrksasana (Handstand), and Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Balance). Bring a playful spirit, your sense of humor, and a willingness to work safely beyond your limitations with the support of a dynamic teacher and community of fellow yogis. TAKE FLIGHT! LEVEL 2 WORKSHOP NOW THAT YOU HAVE THE BASICS OF 'GETTING LIGHT' DOWN, it's time to TAKE FLIGHT! This workshop will use techniques and poses taught in the GET LIGHT Level 1 Arm Balance and Inversion Workshop, to explore new poses as well as transitioning from one arm balance to anther in a class flow. New poses that will be covered include Mayurasana (Peacock), Ganda Bherundasana (Formidable Face Pose), Astavakrasana (Eight Angle Pose) Parsva Bhuja Dandasana (Dragonfly) and Vrischikasana (Scorpion). STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE A STEADY GRASP AND UNDERSTANDING of Bakasana (Crow), Parsva Bakasana (Side Crow), and Shirshasana (Headstand). It is strongly recommended that students participating in Level 2 have completed Level 1, or spoken with the teacher directly if they have not completed Level 1. |
